Our new sponsorship of the Hamilton Cat Club

Petcover New Zealand is excited to announce the sponsorship of the Hamilton Cat Club.

Hamilton Cat Club was established in 1950. They ran their first show in 1951 and have been running a show for 72 years. Now the Hamilton Cat Club has approximately 40 members who are spread far and wide, with a committee of 7 managing one of the few All Breeds shows in the Upper North Island.

Running an efficient and fun event, they are known for being one of the largest shows in NZ. Catering to all classes of cats; pedigree, domestic, and companion (part pedigree).  Whether longhair, shorthair, and even possibly no hair!  Some even have curly hair!

Hamilton Cat Club started running a junior exhibition a few years ago, to encourage those under 16’s to bring their cats out and see what showing is about, and to have a go. In their July show, they had 10 juniors, which was amazing! The top cat in each of the 12 show classes will vie for 1^st place Cat in their section, and of those four cats, only one will be crowned Overall Supreme.

With Royal Canin as their Ring One Premier Sponsor and other great brands like Petcover, Zoetis, and Comfy Pets to name a few, supporting the club by providing promotion of events and prizes for place-getters in the show.

Their sponsorship coordinator likes to source prizes that are environmentally friendly, useful, consumable, and possibly NZ-made. No wonder they are proud of their accomplishments, events, and club!
