The Auckland Pet & Animal Expo: A day for all pet lovers

After three years of the Auckland Pet & Animal Expo being postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, it was great to reunite with Auckland pet lovers on the 29th and 30th of April at the ASB Showgrounds.

This was the biggest Pet & Animal Expo that New Zealand has seen to date, with over 23,000 people coming through the doors. From small mammals to birds, reptiles, equines, dogs, and cats, the Auckland Animal & Pet Expo catered for a wide range of domestic and exotic pet lovers.

A focus at the Petcover stand this year was discussing pet insurance terminology within the industry and explaining Petcover’s coverage options available for pets in the event of accidents, injuries and illnesses. With this being the first expo in Auckland since the launch of Petcover’s Mid-Range and Safety-Net plans, pet lovers appreciated our commitment to providing pet insurance options for all budgets and requirements.

The team had the honour of being joined by Petcover partner, Flybuys New Zealand, where visitors were given the opportunity to earn bonus Flybuys when visitors enquired about a pet insurance quote, and even on-the-spot bonus points by scanning their card at the stand!

As well as connecting with our current charity, vet, and breeder partners, new connections were made with rescues, exotic pet clubs, and welfare organisations. The team is excited to build on these new relationships as we work towards transforming the pet insurance industry in New Zealand. We look forward to attending more events in the future and are eager to launch our new product range at an event soon.
