Looking back at the Barastoc Horse of the Year 2024 Event

Looking back at Petcover's time at the Barastoc Horse of the Year event 2024!

Petcover had the pleasure of sponsoring a day of events at the prestigious Barastoc Horse of the Year 2024, the event was held at the stunning ground at Werribee Park Equestrian Centre between the 9th and 11th of February.

The weather remained exceptional across all three days for the 55th anniversary of the Barastoc Horse of the Year and the 300 plus spectators that attended across the event!

It was Petcover’s  first time sponsoring the event and we had the privilege of sponsoring Friday’s competition classes 53-66.

The Petcover team was located alongside the merchandise and Barastoc exhibitor stands opposite Competition Ring 1, giving our team a perfect view of all the action and majority of the classes at the event!

We were in admiration for all the dedicated riders and their magnificent equines but we’d like to give a special out to the winners:

Gentry Park City Lights and their rider Charlee Latham won Class 57 – Newcomer Large Show Hunter Galloway:

DP Barbie and their rider Chanele Hunter won Class 60 – Newcomer Small Pony:

KT So Fine and their rider Melanie Burns won class 63 – Newcomer Small Galloway:

The event organisers held a fancy dress classes for adult and children riders to put on their flashiest outfits of sequins and feathers to compete in the fun competition of best dressed!

There was also another winner whom we would like to celebrate, and that’s Nicole and her daughters, who won our Petcover hamper full of equine goodies. We’re sure Nicole and her daughter’s hooved companion Welsh Cob “Barringa Golden Boy” will enjoy their prize!

We would like to thank Equestrian Victoria and the organisers of Barastoc HOY 2024 for hosting the Petcover team, we felt very welcomed and look forward to supporting future events in 2024 and beyond.
