Covers the cost of veterinary treatment and alternative treatment a pet receives during the insurance period to treat injury, accident or illness. Covers examination, consultation, advice, tests and prescribed medication that a vet has recommended. Such as acupuncture, chiropractic manipulation, hydrotherapy and osteopathy.

Cover is available for puppies, dogs, kittens and cats aged 8 weeks old to 36 weeks old. 6 weeks free introductory insurance cover is subject to acceptance criteria and available only for new full policies. Terms, conditions, waiting period, policy limits and exclusions may apply. Excludes pre-existing conditions.
Waiting periods for claims
Like most pet policies, there are waiting periods before claims can be made. For our cat and dog breeders’ insurance, your new owner can claim for accidents and injuries after 3 days of you activating their policy, and illnesses after 7 days.
