Equitana 2024 made a triumphant return to the Melbourne Showgrounds, delivering its most impressive line-up yet! Over four action-packed days (14-17 November) equestrian enthusiasts were treated to a vibrant blend of competition, education, shopping, and entertainment – all set in the heart of Melbourne.

Australia’s largest equine marketplace

The event boasted an extraordinary marketplace featuring over 300 brands, making it Australia’s largest equine shopping destination. Visitors explored an array of products, from stylish clothing and tack to horse floats and unique equestrian-themed toys. The buzzing atmosphere in the Exhibition Pavilion highlighted Equitana’s commitment to celebrating the best of equestrian retail.

67 hours of world-class competition

Equitana delivered 67 thrilling hours of competition across 34 unique events. Each day brought something special:

• Thursday: Full flight jumping events showcased unparalleled athleticism.
• Friday: Double dressage wowed crowds with precision and grace.
• Saturday: The Mane Event captivated audiences with dynamic displays of equestrian artistry.
• Sunday: Horsemanship demonstrations brought expert techniques and deep connections to life.

Equestrian legends like Tim Price (NZ), Will Rogers (AUS/GER), and The Double Dans (AUS/USA) shared their immense talent, inspiring both competitors and fans alike.

Education and inspiration

The 2024 event also featured Equitana’s largest-ever education program, with 160 sessions delivered by 80 esteemed educators. From practical workshops to insightful talks, attendees gained invaluable knowledge on training techniques, horse care, and much more.

Beyond the arenas, artistic talent took centre stage. Equine-inspired artworks adorned the exhibition space, with talented artists showcasing their passion for horses through breath-taking masterpieces.
